ICONIC BRENNAN BARN IN WALLOWA COUNTY OREGON
Walter Brennan: Who he was
My name is Debbie and I have lived in Wallowa County for over 30 years. During this time, I have grown to love, cherish, respect, the community my husband and I raised our children in. I've been a photographer for over 40 years and I've made it my quest to photograph the stunning landscapes that embrace Wallowa County in its backdrop. One such iconic landscape I photograph is the Brennan Barn.
I was photographing an event in Joseph in early summer when I realized the sun was setting. I was imagining how it was going to look on the Brennan Barn as it could make a magnificent shot. I raced over to see what magic the sun was going to shine on our iconic barn and their it was, shining like a gold medal on the chest of the Wallowa Mountains. It's not an Olympic medal, but we are proud to call it a winner that tells a chapter in the making of Wallowa County.
