My name is Debbie and I've been a photographer for over 4 decades. The last 30 years I have lived in a rural community in Northeastern Oregon. Not only do we grow horses, cows, longhorns, sheep, goats, llamas, but puppies too. I haven't mentioned all the animals that are loved and live here, but I've listed many of them.

In the serene expanse of a rural community nestled amid the picturesque landscape of Wallowa County Oregon, a symphony of boundless affection and unwavering loyalty unfolds in the form of puppies. Each sunrise in this haven heralds a new chapter in the tales of puppies as companions, echoing the essence of resilience and redemption that defines their character. This fella is named Gideon and came along with his new owners at a picnic I also attended. My camera came along with me and therefore, I had the opportunity to photograph his cuteness.

Puppies are at the heart of many people whose purpose is to bring joy to human lives. Animals play a profound purpose – to cultivate a sanctuary where the broken find solace and the wounded discover healing through the transformative power of unconditional love. Puppies, that grow into adulthood, serve as emissaries of hope, bridging the chasm between despair and renewal. They love unconditionally. They read our happiness, our sadness, and know when to comfort us.

Yet, amidst the tranquility, barriers loom large – sadly, animals get caught in the remnants of past traumas that haunt these innocent souls, threatening to eclipse the light of hope that flickers within them. Tales of abuse, neglect, and abandonment cast a shadow over their pristine innocence, challenging their resilience and testing the depths of their spirit. We hope to save as many as we can through organizations like HUMANE SOCIETY and BEST FRIENDS.

But within every shadow, there shines a saving grace – the special qualities inherent in every dog. Golden Retrievers have a gentle demeanor, boundless affection, and innate ability to forgive serve as beacons of hope, guiding them through the darkest of nights towards the dawn of a new day. Luckily, for Gideon, he went to a loving home.

As one embarks on the journey raising a puppy, the senses are awakened to a tapestry of experiences that transcend the ordinary day into the unexpected, a bit challenging at times, but worthy to groom your puppy to love for a long time. The responsibilities of giving your best friend attention and teaching it rules is up to you. The sight of puppies frolicking about, their tails wagging in joyous abandon can't help but bring joy to life. The warmth of a furry embrace, a tangible reminder of the healing power of love. The scent of puppyhood mingles all around you whether it's good smells or a bit nasty but worth it to evoke a sense of peace and serenity and a lifelong friend.

A remarkable transformation takes place within the depths of the human spirit.
