Charming Country Garden

As the warm embrace of spring envelops the earth, a magnificent flower garden bursts into a kaleidoscope of colors, painting a three-block space in shades of purple, yellow, green, red, pink, blue, white, and orange. This magical paradise belongs to a dear friend of mine, a soul with a green thumb and a heart full of love for nature's wonders.

Amidst the garden's enchanting embrace, a symphony of colorful flowers dances in harmony with blooming bushes and majestic trees. Two serene ponds reflect the peace and tranquility that pervades this picturesque landscape. A meandering path, adorned with lush ferns, beckons visitors to explore this garden sanctuary and find rejuvenation for their mind, body, spirit, and soul.

A quaint tea house stands as a testament to the garden's hospitality, inviting guests to sit among the vibrant landscape and indulge in the art of sipping tea and savoring delectable scones. Spring becomes a cherished season for me as it awakens the garden to life, and I never forget to carry my camera and tripod when I visit my friend's floral haven. The sight of flowers joyously emerging from the ground and the playful antics of robins in the pond are moments I cherish and capture with my lens.

But as the heavens shower the much-needed rain upon the earth, I must time my visits carefully, for I cannot sacrifice my camera to the weather. Yet, the raindrops left on the delicate petals become an unexpected bonus, adding a touch of character and charm to the scenes I capture.

Photographing flowers has become one of my favorite pursuits, a way to immortalize the ever-changing beauty of my friend's cherished garden. She, herself, has no interest in photography, but her love for her garden runs deep like that of a parent for their child. I am honored to document its growth and transformation through the seasons, creating cherished memories that she holds dear in her heart.

My friendship with her blossomed in an unexpected manner, forged by an accident that brought us together. It was in her store shop amidst the garden where I broke one of her precious angels. Though I offered to pay for it, she insisted on letting it go, and from that moment, our bond began to take root.

Eventually, I found myself working for her tea business, an opportunity that allowed me to spend more time in her garden paradise. Here, I met new people, learned about teas, and realized how deeply flowers had become intertwined with my life, not just through my camera lens but also in the depths of my heart.

As the years passed, her husband's health began to decline due to the impact of Agent Orange exposure during his service in the Vietnam War. As he battled cancer, he could no longer lend a helping hand in the garden. I did all I could to assist her, but the need for additional help grew, and she had to seek outside assistance.

One day, almost by chance, I captured what I now call "Garden Melody." As we sat on a bench, enveloped by the garden's beauty, I was mesmerized by the bright colors, the soothing scent of lavender, and the artistic theme she had woven into every corner. I instinctively dropped to my knees, my camera in hand, and began composing the perfect shot. Garden Melody was born, a testament to the beauty and serenity that my friend had cultivated with her loving touch.

My friend adored GARDEN MELODY, and every time I photograph her flowers or garden, I present her with a picture as a token of my affection. Over the years, her collection of these cherished memories has grown, just like our bond.

As life took its unpredictable turns, our friendship deepened further. When her husband passed away, I stood beside her, providing the support and love she needed during those trying times. She expressed how much she relied on my presence, and I am grateful that I could be there for her.

Perhaps, in a twist of divine design, fate brought us together through a broken angel, and our connection has flourished, just like the blooms in her garden. As I continue to capture the essence of her sanctuary with my camera, I remain Auntie to her pug Patty, a cherished companion in her life.

My friend's garden has taught me the true meaning of beauty, love, and resilience. It is a place where colors dance, and fragrances weave a tapestry of peace and joy. It is a sanctuary where the soul finds solace, and where nature's embrace renews the spirit.
